they like to say good things about themselves..

i mean, its totally fine to say good things about yourself..

but when you say "good" things about yourself which are not true..

people will know it, and people will think its all bullshit.

Some people...

they like to post up famous quotes without quoting the author,

to make it sound like they wrote it,

to make them feel so good about themselves..

after all, we all know that its just someone else's work they're stealing from.

Doing it once or twice is alright(i do that too), but doing it 101 times is just unacceptable.

Some people...

they like to post up oh-so-encouraging sentences..

to make it sound like they've changed..

but in the end, action still speaks louder than words.

No matter how many oh-so-encouraging sentences they post..

you will not gain any respect so long as nothing has changed..

People who have known you the longest, are people who knows the real you.

Its easy to talk the talk, but can you walk the walk?

Some people...

they like to make 1001 promises..

to make it look like they are super trustworthy..

but in the end, breaks every single one of those promises..

resulting in lost of trust and respect from others..

Everyone has flaws, including myself..
but that doesn't mean you can make the same mistakes for 12345 times,
that doesnt mean you can bullshit all you want..
because that's just too much!

I personally don't try to make a lot of promises,
I don't post a lot of goodie-goodie quotes/sentences,
because i know if i ain't what i said i am,
people will think of me as a super hypocrite.
Even i myself will think that i'm a super hypocrite.

If you think i'm talking about you, then it's probably you i'm talking about..
Don't be mad at me :) because if you haven't done anything like that, you wouldn't think that i'm talking about you..and you are just indirectly admitting that you are like that :)

i have bought super cheap air tickets the other day!
I shouldn't say its cheap, i should say its FREE because its RM0 LOL!
Ofcourse that's without the tax.
In total would be RM18 for two ways including tax, so that is cheap lol!

FYI, Air Asia is having this massive sale going on too..
RM3(one way, not including taxes) to many places such as Bangkok, Langkawi, etc..
but the traveling period only starts on Feb 2012 :(
Sadly, i wont be able to get it.. :(

It was a pretty easy job plus the working hours is short.

Pirates of The Caribbean : On Stranger Tides - nice and funny! I actually think its nice although many think otherwise..hmm..oh and all the mermaids are oh so prettyyyy x) Theres also a short clip after the credits lol.

Kung Fu Panda 2 - funny as usual! Was quite sleepy when i watched this but it was still funny :)

Now i so cant wait to watch Transformers!!! and Captain America!! =D

Im not quite looking forward to watch The Green Lantern though, the trailer aint very attractive to me o_O felt like its just another lame superhero o_o but well i havent watched it yet so i cant say that also lol..we'll see...!

Being able to be there to witness the competition was really an awesome opportunity =D

Imagine Cup Malaysia 2011 Results!!

Day 2 Part 2 : Imagine Cup Malaysia 2011 Results!

So like i said in my prev post that I was gona announce the top 6, but i guess most of you already know lol!

Anyhow, just look at the pictures and admire them laa LOL LOL!

Top 6!

From top to bottom (left - right):

Asia Science (UCTI) --- Cyber Knightz (UCTI)

So from 2.30pm to 5.30pm, the top 6 had a 30mins closed-room presentation each.

That 30mins was like the moment of their life, the only time left for them to impress the judges lol!

Must be very intense in the room because its only them and the judges!

Once all the teams are done with their presentations, the marks were immediately being calculated and then we have the top 3 team!

I was so excited when i heard about the top 3 teams because all of them were from my uni =D

Plus one of my classmate is in team Cyber Knightz.

I must say Im very very super duper proud of them =D

And also, im really impressed with all other teams that were there!

All of them were really creative and all their ideas were really unique!

Some of them came up with solutions to decrease crime rates, some came up with really interesting programs to maintain a healthy life style and many more...!

Ok lets move on to dinner time.

As usual, the VIPs will have to give their speech first lol.

Dinner was served at around 8.45pm.

They had some traditional performances going on on the stage too while we were all eating.

To be honest, the portion of food was really pathetic..

The portion of food was so little it could only feed like 3 hungry boys (or 5 hungry girls?) when all the tables are seated with at least 9 or 10 ppl each!

Its a pretty big event so no one would have thought this kinda problem would occur o_O lol.

Anyways,

the presentation for the top 3 teams started at around 9.15pm.

The first team to present was Team Cyber Knightz!

They were really impressive :)

Second to present was team Fidius Educata!

Despite the technical error, they still did a good job ;)

And the last team to present was Team Asia Science!

Obviously they were good too, they had a really good female presenter too!

IMO, it must be pretty tough and stress to fight against each other from the same uni to get the champion.

but im sure they are all really supportive to each other all the while :)

So who do you think is the winner for Imagine Cup Malaysia 2011?..

Team Cyber Knightz!!

UCTI has been taking the title 2 years consecutively!

Last year it was Team HDC with their Project Apple and this year is Team Cyber Knightz with their Health3 project!

Team Cyber Knightz joined Imagine Cup last year too but they did not get into top 3.

However, they got the Best Implementation of Multipoint with their project Global Knowledge Reactor last year.

Their victory this year proves that they have never given up and their hard work definitely paid off =D

Here's a lil detail about Team Cyber Knightz

Title of Project: Health3
About Us: An Engineering student and three Computing students who have several things in common; that is how Team Cyber Knightz is formed. We are a bunch of technology enthusiasts who aspire to apply our knowledge in unravelling realworld problems.

Project Overview: Health3 (prounounced as healthy) is a health minded application that targets to improve the health of a cancer patient from the very basic needs of a human, which are food intakes, exercise and emotional needs. By just taking three simple steps provided in our application, which are customize, deploy and start monitoring, cancer patients can find all the useful utilities that will help them in improving their health and increasing the chance of survival.

Focusing on the ability to customize, it enables each distinct cancer patient to have the most sophisticated health monitoring application in addressing their needs individually. The whole idea of health application has been taken to a brand new level which changes the concept of how health applications are deployed on technological devices to fully maximize the benefits of health application.

They came up with this really cool wonderbox which will help to detect medication intakes and they have this really interesting exercise routine that can be performed using a kinect =D

Day 2 : Imagine Cup Malaysia 2011

Hello people!

Its day 2 in Kuching for the Microsoft Imagine Cup competition and its the BIG DAY!

Wonder if the contestants have enough sleep hahah because usually when we are nervous or when we are excited about something, we'll stay up the whole night hahah or maybe thats just me LOL.

Anyways, breakfast was at 7am. I skipped it, and you should know why - i was still sleeping hahahah!

So the booth presentation started at 9am. During this first judging session, each team will be given 10 minutes to present about their software/application. They have time keeper following the judges okayyyy lol! There were many judges and different judges will judge on different areas. Judges will be giving marks based on a few criterias which have to be followed by the students.

Dont forget, there are other additional awards too =D

Innovations Award - An MDeC prize based on the solution with the most promising business viability.

Phone 7 Mobile Development Award - For students to be one of the first developers ever to build an XAP Application for the revolutionary Windows Phone 7 platform. It needs to scream originiality, have major consumer appeal, and integrate unique mobile-oriented features.

Azure Cloud Computing Award - An award for a revolutionary idea around the implementation of a cloud-based software.

Presentation Superstars Award - A prize to the team with the most outstanding teamwork and presentation. They have to win over the hearts of their audience with their soft-skills.

SUPER ATTRACTIVE RIGHT ;)

At around 10am, more visitors came to check out the competition. Visitors = high school students from various local high schools. We also had a short tea break around that time.
Hopefully this trip for these students will encourage them to join Imagine Cup too in the future :)

At 11am, the judges continue with their judging after the short tea break. I was following the judges and taking pictures of students while they were presenting but i just couldnt get nice pictures because im vertically challenged :( LOL all the big guys blocking..oh well hahaha!

After judging all 30 teams, it was lunch time.

At around 1.15pm, the results for the top 6 was announced in one of the smaller halls! Not everyone was in the hall because some of the students were still having their lunch that time. Those that were in hall must have had their fingers crossed and some looked really nervous yet in the end everyone cheered for the top 6.

Imagine Cup Malaysia 2011 Day 1

Im leaving, on a jet plane..dont know when i'll be back again.....

Oh btw, we were nearly late for our flight..well not exactly, we got in the plane the same time as the pilots LOL!

First of all, I would like to thank Microsoft for giving us bloggers(myself, Victoria, Samantha, Jackie and Steven) this awesome opportunity to be a part of this Imagine Cup event.

I have been talking a lot about Imagine Cup in my tweeter too if you noticed...

The plane from LCCT took off at around 7.30am and we reached Kuching at around 9am, i think? (dont quite remember because I was freaking sleepy that time LOL!)

So whats Imagine Cup?

The Imagine Cup is a technology competition that is open to students around the world. The Imagine Cup encourages young people to apply their imagination, their passion and their creativity to technology innovations that can make a difference in the world today.

The Imagine Cup actually started in 2003 with only 1000 competitors and the number of competitors grew quickly as years passed by. A theme will be given every year and the theme will always be focused on finding solutions to issues that are happening in the world today.

This year is the ninth year and the theme for this year is 'Imagine a world where technology helps solve the toughest problems facing us today'.

I myself am from UCTI and am studying computing and was asked to join Imagine Cup too, but well I had my personal reasons so yeah hahaha you'll know if you continue reading my blog hahaha!

Honestly its a really good and interesting competition. If you're still a student, do join Imagine Cup next year.

This year, the Imagine Cup final is held in Pullman Hotel, Kuching.

It is a new hotel and its really pretty =D

The students and us bloggers dont get to stay there though, we are staying in Grand Margherita but its also a really pretty hotel.

We just got into our room for like 15 mins and it got so messed already lol.

Later in the afternoon,

we had our lunch in Pullman Hotel.

The food was...okay..just okay... o_O

..but the swimming pool is pretty =D hahaha!

Ok so after lunch,

we went to check out the competitors booth.

The competitors were busy setting up their booths this afternoon.

Some of their booths looked simple and nice while some looked really wild and interesting.

Some of them looked really stressed up while some looked really excited for the big day tomorrow!

There werent many things for us to do at that time besides twitting and twitting because they were having problems with the internet connection in the hall.

Plus we were bloated and SLEEPY! lol..after lunch mah =P

Basically nothing much happened in the afternoon, everyone was just busy setting up or preparing stuffs for their own booths.

There was also a short tea time break in the evening :) nom nom nom lol.

At night,

we had a welcoming BBQ dinner at the Grand Margherita Hotel.

The dinner started off with a short traditional performance after the arrival of the VIPs.

Mr. Azli Jamil, General Manager of Microsoft Malaysia was the first to give a speech.

Then, it was Prof. Datuk Dr. Ahmad Yusoff bin Hassan, Chairman Organizing Committee of Imagine Cup Malaysia 2011 turn followed by a very encouraging speech by Y.B. Datin Hajah Fatimah bt. Abdullah, Minister At The Sarawak Chief Minister's Office.

Around 8.30pm, the REAL eating starts lol.

You can see everyone rushing to the bbq corners to get their food, bet they must be darn hungry after all the hard work =P

Oh, i also think that the dinner in Grand Margherita Hotel was better than the lunch in Pullman Hotel lol.

After that, they had like a small meet and greet session followed by a souvenir presentation session.

..and after that, it was time for us to head back to our rooms and prepare for the big day tomorrow!

So that was basically about it for day 1.

It will definitely be a hectic day tomorrow!

And ALL THE BEST to all the participants!

Eat well, rest well and do well for tomorrow yea!

Am selling Nikon cameras this time.

Overall work was okay.

On thursday, i went for a commercial shoot.

It was actually a 2 days shoot but i only went for the 2nd day because my friend needed ppl to replace those who ffk-ed the 2nd day, & since i was so free so i helped out.

The shoot was in putrajaya.

Its actually a commercial shoot for a china brand sports apparel - Li Ning (Lin Dan's the ambassador O_O only knew that when my friends told me about it LOL else i have no idea what brand is that hahah)

So the shoot was in putrajaya....from 6am..

...till 4am...

Yeah, no typo error eh, 6am till 4am the next freaking day hahahaha!

Longest job evaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa LOL!

Honestly it wasnt really tiring, because the people there were awesome & funny..it was just hot x_x

Made a lot of new friends, awesome friends =D

Oh btw, we were just the extras, not main actors/actresses lol.

Our job was just to walk around, thats all LOL!

I think we only spent like in total 1 hour(20mins in the afternoon, 20 in the evening and 20 at night lol) to shoot for our scene.

The rest of the time, we were just chilling and chatting all the way!

This was our main actor for the day.

Some olympic javelin thrower, but i have no idea who he is HAHAHAH lol.

..he's quite good looking, super sharp face.

..but still not as hot as Jason Statham hahahahaaaaa!

We were waiting for our next scene so we camwhored hahaha!

We actually camwhored in the middle of the road, on the zebra crossing! hahahaha!

Whole freaking day in putrajaya!

Overall it was a quite a fun job =D mainly because of the people there laa else it would be really boring lol.

..except for 1 annoying guy which i dont want to talk about lol.

Ok back to reality.

So last night, i worked for the Sunway South Quay property launch in Sunway Lagoon surf beach as an usherer.

They were launching some high-end condo with a sandy beach concept swimming pool, hence that explains the launch in Lagoon's surf beach.

They want the people to have an idea on how the new condo will be like with a sandy beach pool!

Pretty awesome ehh but ofcourse its pricey too lol, about a million or more for a unit lol.

My job was pretty easy lol, just greet people and direct them to the registration table for about 3 hours lol.

They provided us with the Pareos and flower accessories.

So "hawaii" lol.

Some of the girls that were working that night :)

There were more girls but we worked in groups and were positioned in different locations.

I wanted a red pareo but there were a few only, the other girls took already :( lol.

...but green is not that bad also laa lol.

Hello peeps.

Im currently in penang..AGAIN.

Yeap, because my grandma passed away last night.

We just saw her like 2 weeks ago and she was still okay.

All i know is that few days ago, she had difficulties breathing, so my uncle sent her to the hospital.

She got admitted and they found out that she had lung infection then last night she left us.

Life.

Btw, im in a very difficult situation here.

Most(or should i say ALL) of my relatives here are buddhist, im the only Christian here.

The funeral is conducted in a buddhist way, so they had chants and all which i cannot involve myself in.

but thank God my mom understands that i cant.

So im always the left out one lol.

Oh well lol.

But i do pray for my grandma, in a my own Christian manner.

So i wont be around in Subang for the next few days.

So i dyed my hair today.

This was my previous hair colour - supposedly Liese sweet pink colour, but its neither sweet nor pink =_=

Looks brownish to me but whatever its gone now.

I always wanted to try the Cassis Berry colour but im afraid it would be too HOT for me to handle lol.

So i finally tried it today.

Well, this was the result....

I closed my eyes because i think i look prettier like that lol =_=Anyways,

not much diff from the previous colour =_= just a lil reddish but still looks brownish to me =_=
Actually it is still brown =_= i think the flash just made it look reddish =_=

Not BERRY(very) RED afterall!

Kinda dissapointed with the outcome though.
Maybe it was because of my previous hair colour.

Oh well, at least my black roots are gone now!

Went to Uniqlo again today..

The opening promotion is over but some of the clothes are still on promotion.

There were a lot of new arrivals, pretty tops!

Love the tops, but i didnt get anything..im broke ok T_T saving up for something else.

After that, headed to Midvalley.

The MAD Race!

So yesterday (Saturday),

was supposed to join my youths for brunch but i didnt because i totally forgotten about this MAD Race lol.

So my classmates, 5 of them + myself, signed up for this competition called The MAD Race(inspired by the tv show - The Amazing Race).

This competition is organized by the committee members of this youth from Metro Tabernacle A/G church.

Btw, they dont call their youth Youth, they call it Campus(Campus Action Ministry).

I got up at 6am =_= went to my friend's house in Sunway at 6.30am, then left to my another friend's house in Kepong at 7.15am, then we all went in 1 car together-gether to the church!

The church is located near Batu Caves, so far O_O

Their church is SUPER HUGE i tell you O_O like some office building, like a fortress LOL!

This is their new church & it costs RM40m!

You must be thinking "Wahhhh where do they get so much money?" "Wahhh why so rich 1?"..

Trust me, with God, all things are possible! :)

Their old church was the church that got bombed/burnt earlier this year!

Thank God for their new church!

Their church is b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l!

Ok anyway,

my team was the first few teams who got there first.

Got to meet their pastor, really friendly female pastor :)

& this is their foyer..so so much bigger than my Uni's foyer =_=

They even have escalators & lifts o_o

Plus they have so many halls o_o didnt take many pictures of the place though.

So the games started at 9.30am & ended at around 12pm.

We played "musical chairs"(oh, there was no music at all, just sirens lol), paper signing game & some sub games(amazing race concept).

We were also given "tokens" to exchange with other group members, to buy their help/votes/time.

Im not gona explain to you how the game works, but trust me, it involves a lot of betraying & lying lol.

In short, ITS VERY COMPLICATED! ;)

But the lessons that they want to teach us from these games are in the future, when we're in the corporate world, we'll be meeting people of all sorts, we'll be facing a lot of challenges & obstacles, its not gona be easy ;)

They wanted us to have a "taste" of it through these games.

Overall, it was really fun, very well planned i'd say!

After that,

we had a half an hour lunch break, lunch was provided.

After lunch,

we had a short sharing session.

Their Campus consists of many different ppl eh, really different from my Youth now.

You see guys with really long emo-ish hair, guys with piercings, gothic girls & many more.

But anyhow, they are people who are really passionate for Christ & they are really nice people!

Their sharings were really good too, so touching x') haha.

Would love to visit them again but the only problem is its SO FAR x_x

After all the sharings, it was time to announce the results!

They even have prizes for teams who complete the sub games in the shortest time.

My team won the maths sub game =P

Got keychains for that!
& now for the overall champion of the competition..

Seriously unexpected i tell you!
My team members & i stunned for awhile when they announced "Team 3"..LOL!

It was super super unexpected because we gave up in the "musical chairs" game & thought we've lost a lot of points lol!

But i guess the paper signing game helped us a lot =D

So each of us got 100bucks as our prize =D

*yes i know i look tired, woke up at 6am ok LOL but its all worth it!*

I just got my phone bill the day before.

I need a pair of sunglasses so badly la, i cant stand the glare of the sun in the afternoon when driving home from uni!
But its not easy finding the right 1 for my face lol!

Some are too big for my face, some designs dont suit my face..hmmmm..

Would prefer the aviator type though.

Hello!Im finally blogging again =P hahah!
I have been so lazy haha i know lol.

So, i've had the best 6 days in this month =D

why?

The boyf came back last Saturday night =D & he left this evening =(

I've been spending every single day with the boyf, it was so much fun!
..except for the skipping class part lol, my attendance % is bleeding lol!

But oh well, cant help it, just had to skip classes so that i could spend more time with the boyf =P

You know how some people dont really like to see their gf/bf everyday, well im definitely not part of them lol.

He's just so comfortable to be with :) my love ♥

Awhile ago,
